If you're new around here, my name is Michelle Burr! Long before I had Nash, I made a promise to myself that I would stay true to myself, my desires, my personality & eagerness to find fun in the day to day routine of motherhood. I guess you could say I've kept that promise. See while I was pregnant I had so many women scare me, warning me that life was over. "I hope you had your fun because those days are coming to an end!" I am and will always be determined to show mama's what its like to stay fun all while living your BEST mama life!
One of the things that makes my friends instantly think of me is...Modelo. Yep, Modelo! Do I enjoy wine? Sure. Vodka + Soda? Yep, totally. BUT MY MODELO...chef's freaking kiss! I also recently discovered Dip N Sipz (the gooey red deliciousness that I cover the top of my beers with). This took my enjoyment for Modelo to the next level! When I think of my Modelo's I think of...grillin fajitas on the back porch with my hubby, tailgating with my baby Nash on my hip, Food Truck Fridays, pool days in summer with our family & friends. You know...the lighthearted parts life! The fun parts that you squeeze in-between the daily grind.
My friends on Instagram starting trying my Modelo with Dip N Sipz & the response was overwhelming. I'm telling you...it's good shit. HAHA! Then, the Mamadelo term was born! Because it's not a regular Modelo, it's a MAMAdelo! I knew I needed to make a tee that my favorite mamas could have to represent their relationship with me and the fun we have virtually. But here's the thing. I am not into clothes in the sense that I don't really like being a huge consumer. My favorite thing is just having a go-to comfy tee that I do just about anything in. That super good, lived in tee that also has a graphic or statement on the front that is CUTE AF! So I partnered with a graphic designer and found the best possible screen printer IN MY AREA. I initially got quotes from a much larger company but quickly felt like I was just another buck $ to them & it didn't feel right. When I look for someone to work with, I look with the mindset that this person will be in my life long term. I want to feel amazing about doing business with them. So then I reached out to Allyson with Level Up Branding. She was happy to help & a local business I could show some love to. She's also a mama herself! AND WOW, SHE DELIVERED! I couldn't be more happy and I can't wait to continue working with her. We have a drop planned for December 4th (shhh...it's a secret!) & it's beautiful! Y'all are going to fall in love!!!
Another wonderful thing that has come out of my Mamadelo tee is the realization that I absolutely LOVE:
a) designing & fulfilling custom apparel
b) the idea that a mama earns a sale over a big box store *smirk emoji LOL*
So I have decided to pour into my friends who are also active on social media with a following who adores them. I really want to help them create products for the people who want them most! I haven't announced this business venture yet but between you and I, it's called Social Wear & my team is currently scouting other fun-loving influencers to help out!
This Mamadelo tee is so special to me. It represents the beginning of big things. It represents the beginning of being able to pour into my people AKA you, the mamas all around me. I am so grateful!
